This 462 was designed by George Buehler (Check George Buehler in the Internet) Construction is to China Ship Classification (CCS) practice. CCS certified weld X-ray of all boats. CCS incline tests apply. All metal inside & out sandblasted and 3 coats of epoxy primer interior & exterior. 4 coats on bottom plus bottom paint and color top coat. All doors are ship quality heavy-duty aluminum and windows are 10 mm toughened glass plate. 3 ship style doors internally with 5 dog-down points and commercial seals. This is a true world passagemaker and Kawkatu has proven herself at sea for the last 5+ years. Emphasis has been on safety low maintenance and comfort. Yet having achieved all of the above you will be impressed with the beauty woodworking functionality and overall design of this little ship. Owners had her designed built it and then cruised it from China to N. America and have lived on board for the duration while cruising. Boat looks like it has been commissioned and slightly used. An arm sailors dream but a real vessel for those looking to travel and explore being conveyed in turn-key condition.
